What is Nätsmart?

Children often don't understand the severity of the internet. Since their internet access is ever growing in our phone dependent society it is important to underline the risks in a way they will understand. That is where Nätsmart comes in, a fun game that also sheds light on why it is important to be cautious on the internet.

Our Vision

Children's lack of control over their public identities can affect their potential exposure to discrimination, abuse, exploitation, and violence. These negative experiences are not limited to children, but they will be the first generation to face these issues throughout their life cycle, particularly in the early stages of life. This can lead to critical turning points in their personal development and public lives.

Therefore, we need to ensure that children receive information about this early on, both with the support of adults and by guiding them toward alternatives for managing and preventing these problems.

Prototyping with Paper

We created a paper prototype of our idea and held interviews to receive critique. The critique came from other groups in the course, and it was very helpful in order to create the best prototype possible. Group members observed and took notes and feedback was collected, which then led us to create a digital prototype.

The Digital Prototype

We then created the digital prototype based on the feedback we had gotten and our ideas.

An evaluation meeting was also conducted where changes were made to further simplify and finalize the prototype.
